Greatwood is a master planned community in Sugar Land started in 1989.  In 2017, the Greatwood Community was annexed into Sugar Land.  Greatwood has many great amenities, from 3 Swimming Pool, 13 Playgrounds, Walking Trails, Tennis Courts, Golf Course, Salons/Spas/Barber-shops, restaurants, and a mall near by for shopping.  Visit the Greatwood website to learn more.

First Colony another great master planned community in Sugar Land, developed by Gerald D. Hines and Sugarland Properties in 1976.  Much of First Colony has been annexed into Sugar Land, and development of Sugar Land Town Square at the turn of the century of the remaining undeveloped parcels.    Visit the website to learn more about First Colony on their website.

New Territory is a master planned community also developed in 1989, and annexed into Sugar Land with Greatwood in 2017.  New Territory comes with a Sports Complex, everything from tennis, swimming, gymnastics, baseball, softball fields, several soccer fields, parks and playgrounds.  Visit their website and map of the area.

Sweetwater is another great community outside of Sugar Land.  Sweetwater has two golf courses, swimming pools, fitness center as well as stuff for kids and juniors.  Check out the Sweetwater County Club website for all the community has to offer.

Telfair broke ground in 2015,  as a master planned community with a lot of mixed use with a high concentration of residential located near Sugar Land, with plenty of shopping, restaurants, parks and great schools.    Visit the HOA website to learn more about the community.

Riverstone is an upscale planned community that straddles both Sugar Land and Missouri City.  Riverstone has commercial business centers, along with several residential sections with vast open spaces, parks, lakes, as well as hiking and bike trails.  Visit the Riverstone website to learn more.

Quail Valley was developed in 1969, outside of in Missouri City, by James H. MacNaughton.  MacNaughton after scouting the property decided to develop the land with a golf course and named the subdivision after all the quail that lived the area home, along with the alligators and heron.  Macnaughton gave up control of the country club, and sold off his remaining property.  After his death in 2008, the city purchased the Executive Nine Golf Course, renaming it to MacNaughton Park.  Check out the website to the Quail Valley Golf Club.

 Lake Olympia is a great community in Missouri City with estate homes, lake homes, and unique residential homes near First Colony Mall, filled with beautiful lakes, walking trails, swimming pools, a clubhouse, and tennis courts.  Visit the Association website to learn more about this vibrant community.

 Sienna Plantation is  a huge  master planned fixed used community in Missouri City with activities from golf, horse back riding, tennis courts, fitness centers, lake recreations, plenty of parks, swimming pools, and great schools in walking or biking distance.   Housing ranges from town-homes, patio homes, estate homes on acreage lots, golf course lots, and great lake view lots.  Check out the Sienna Plantation website for all there is to know and events around the community.

Tara Colony is outstanding subdivision in Richmond, right outside of Sugar Land.  Unlike master planned communities, this community is primarily residential.  Visit the HOA website to see what is out there.

Jordan Ranch is master planned community in Fulshear right outside of Richmond.  This community boast a fitness center, pool, and splash pad, sports fields, tennis courts, and walking trails.  Visit the website to find out more.
