Southeast Houston

Baytown is actually a combination of 3 towns that merged in 1947 when finally consolidating. Baytown is in Harris and Chambers Counties, on the Galveston bay. Channelview is located on the northeastern curve of the ship channel, hence the name. Located in Harris County, with it's own school district, and home of Super Bowl quarter back Jalen Hurts. Check out the Channelview website for more.

Galena Park is on the east side of town and named after the first refining company (Galena Signal Oil Company) that was located in the area in 1935.  Between the 1940-1980’s the area around grew as the City of Houston grew.  Galena Park is yet another town within the city limits of Houston.  This quite town is predominantly a blue collar with most people working at oil refining companies in the vicinity or at the near by Port of Houston.  Visit the Galena Park website to learn more.

Jacinto Park is just north of Galena Park and another small town within the Houston city limits. Jacinto Park was established in 1941, by Frank Sharp as a subdivision for shipyard and steel mill workers. The subdivision was incorporated in 1947.
